Susie Mbiro, CD(DONA)
Certified Birth Doula - Metro Atlanta
My passion for birth work began with my own birthing journeys, when I experienced the benefits of self awareness, tuning into my intuition, and compassionate support.
All my life I’ve gravitated toward opportunities that allow me to serve others. I believe that every birth is heroic and miraculous, and I’m honored to bring a comforting presence and positive encouragement to families as they bring forth their next generation. As a DONA-trained birth doula, I draw on my knowledge, experience and passion to help birthing people and families feel empowered and nurtured during their birthing experience.
When I’m not supporting families, I enjoy spending time with my kids and my flock of backyard chickens, and dabbling in the garden. I love participating in local marathons and other community events.

Labor Doula - Metro Atlanta
My love for supporting families was inspired by my own birth experience, during which I learned how empowered I felt and how strong I truly am. This confidence motivated me to help other birthing parents find their own strength and sense of empowerment.
I am a DONA-trained doula working toward certification, and I have a background in Early Childhood Education, teaching students at the elementary level. During my classroom experience my love for teaching quickly became a love for nourishing others–another reason I’ve chosen to support families through their birth journey. My goal is to help every expectant parent feel supported, heard and empowered as they make this sacred transition.
Outside of doula work, I spend most of my time with my daughter and husband. I enjoy being outdoors and browsing vintage/antique shops. I also love to create things through embroidery and sewing.
