Postpartum Support

As parents ourselves, much of our knowledge comes from our own experiences. As professional doulas, we offer evidence-based information and skilled assistance to compassionately help you meet your baby's needs, care for yourself, and ease your transition to parenthood. Our goal is to help you feel a sense of contentment, satisfaction and connection with your baby during the first joyous, wondrous, hormonal, exhausting weeks and months after birth.

"Two Doulas & You comprise the kindest, most compassionate humans in this world. Being a first-time mom at home with my newborn, I was exhausted and feeling very uncertain of what to do. They brought the calmness and steadiness that I needed. They took care of my daughter with such tenderness and they helped me take care of myself. I cannot recommend them more highly.”

Daytime Support

We can help ease your recovery from birth and feel a sense of contentment and connection with your baby as you get comfortable with parenting and recover from birth. Every family’s priorities differ—our postpartum support is flexible and customized to each family’s needs, including:

  • Caring for baby while you rest/shower/eat

  • Help with infant wearing, feeding and soothing

  • Meal preparation

  • Help with laundry

  • Kitchen tidying

  • Grocery shopping/errand running

Contact us for more information on daytime postpartum support. We will then connect you with available doulas who will contact you to discuss fees and scope of practice.

Overnight Postpartum Support

Our overnight shifts consist of 8 hours of support, with a flexible start time. While you sleep we tend to your baby, making sure baby is fed, soothed and content. We can bottle-feed baby or bring baby to you to feed, based on your preference. Overnight support can also include tidying up the kitchen, washing pump parts, doing laundry and preparing meals for the next day, depending on your needs, with baby’s care being the priority.

Contact us for more information on overnight postpartum support. We will then connect you with available doulas who will contact you to discuss fees and scope of practice.

Weekly Virtual Support Group

2D&Y clients have access to our virtual support group on Zoom the first four Tuesdays of each month from noon-1pm EST. This is a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can connect with other new and expectant parents and discuss whatever’s on your mind that day, whatever you’re struggling with. Moderated by one of our doulas, we encourage honest conversation around the joys and hardships of parenting and often invite birth-community experts for a casual Q&A around pertinent topics. Come as you are, when you can, with babies, toddlers, pets, whatever is in your arms or hanging onto your legs!

COST: Free for clients!
